To Everyone Who Has Loved Hana-Kimi — On the Establishment of the Official Fan Club
We are pleased to announce the establishment of the official fan club for Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (Hana-Kimi).
First and foremost, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the readers who have supported and cherished this work over the years. During her lifetime, Ms. Hisaya Nakajo received an incredible number of fan letters. She treasured every single message — your thoughts about the story, your feelings toward the characters, and the many words describing how the series became a source of strength in your lives.
However, due to the demanding nature of serialization, writing, and research for her creative work, she was unfortunately unable to reply personally to every letter she received.
“I want to talk with the readers.”
“I want to say thank you directly.”
“I want to stay connected through my work forever.”
These were wishes she often expressed.
For Ms. Nakajo, creating manga was never simply a job. Sharing emotions with readers, living through the same moments together through the growth and feelings of the characters — that was the true heart of her creativity. Sometimes she smiled quietly while reading fan letters, and other times she was moved to tears.
“There are people reading my work even in distant countries.”
“These words encouraged me so much.”
We can still vividly remember her saying these things.
Sadly, before those wishes could be fully realized, she passed away.

Even so, we did not want her desire to remain connected with readers to end there.
A story does not end the moment it is finished being drawn. It continues to live on in the hearts of its readers — becoming someone’s youth, someone’s support, someone’s precious memory. And that was what Ms. Nakajo valued most of all.
This fan club is not simply a place for announcements or information. It is a place where readers can connect with one another through Hanazakari no Kimitachi e, share their feelings about the story, and carry the world she created into the future.
Even after many years, people who love this work continue to gather, talk together, and pass its charm on to new generations. If we can create such a place, we believe it would be one of the futures Ms. Nakajo herself hoped for.
In addition, there are many fans not only in Japan but all around the world. Ms. Nakajo was deeply happy to know that people across countries and languages encountered Hanazakari no Kimitachi e and were moved by it.
Through this fan club, we hope to connect with fans worldwide and continue carrying her thoughts and feelings into the future. Going forward, we also hope to gradually share past materials, illustrations, behind-the-scenes stories, and cherished memories.
More than anything, we want this to become a place that carefully nurtures everyone’s love for the series.
Ms. Nakajo can no longer create new works. But the characters she brought to life still live on in the hearts of countless people today.
The laughter, the tears, the courage readers gained, the youthful moments spent together with this story — all of these are the very life of Hanazakari no Kimitachi e, and the irreplaceable gift that readers gave to Ms. Nakajo.
We sincerely hope you will continue to cherish this work for years to come.
And we hope this place will become a new “space of connection” that continues to unite Ms. Nakajo and her readers.
Hanazakari no Kimitachi e is eternal.
